First, make sure your complexion is clean - remove all the dirt and makeup with your regular makeup remover, rinse with lukewarm water and gently pat your face dry with a towel.
Step 2
Soak a clean towel in hot water and keep in on your face for 1 minute. Repeat for 3 times - heat and steam will soften your complexion and pores.

Step 3
Get rid of dead skin cells by using a gentle facial scrub. Try to avoid formulas with big, chunky granules, as these can be too harsh for many skin types. Apply the scrub and by using your fingertips, gently rub with a circular motion for about 1 minute and rinse well with lukewarm water.
Step 4
Apply a homemade facial (see the recipes below) or a store bought one - whatever you choose, make sure that contains antioxidants, like vitamin E. Keep the facial on for 5 to 20 minutes and rinse it off.
Mix 3 teaspoons of honey with 3 teaspoons of milk and leave it on for 10 minutes to nourish normal, dry and sensitive skin types.
To whiten your complexion or to remove tan, mix 1 teaspoon of milk powder, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and ½ teaspoon of almond oil. Apply on face and wash off after 10-15 minutes.

Great astringent for oily, breakout prone skin: apply a mixture of grated tomato with 2-3 drops of lime juice on the face and neck. Leave it for 20 minutes before washing off.
For oily skin, mix 3 teaspoons of oatmeal with 2 teaspoons of honey and leave it on for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Use your regular moisturizer for a good hydration of your complexion. Keep your moisturizer in the fridge - keeping it cool will make it stay fresh longer and will freshen up your skin when applied.
